About This Tour
Tour discovering the culinary tradition of the city of Naples.
Walking through the heart of the historic center, you will be carried away by the colors, scents, and flavors of those dishes that have now become part of the daily life of every Neapolitan. It can be said that street food was born right in the city of Naples; from the famous "cuoppo" of fried food, the warm and flavorful pizza "a portafoglio", to the fragrant "sfogliatella riccia" or the succulent rum baba, indulge in these tasty indulgences while learning about their history and origin. We start from Piazza del Gesù, where you will discover the history of the square, the peculiar facade of the homonymous church, and visit its interior. Along Spaccanapoli, the first stop will be dedicated to the "cuoppo", a cornucopia of paper filled with small mixed pieces of fried food from the land. Continuing the journey, we will stop at Piazza San Domenico and then, shortly after, taste our second sample, the pizza "a portafoglio" or the fried pizza. We will then arrive at San Gregorio Armeno to learn about the beautiful art of the Nativity scene. We will conclude our tour with a dessert, baba or sfogliatella? The difficult choice is yours. Each tour is customizable according to your requests and needs, and there is the possibility of gluten-free tasting.
