We will climb the path that skirts the cone of the volcano characterized by black volcanic soil overlooking the Valley of Hell, so called because of the lava flow that crosses this valley dividing the volcano from Mount Somma.
Walking along the Crater
Once we reach the first refuge, we will stop to learn and better see the scientific characteristics of the volcano. Afterward, we will be free to walk along the crater, admiring on one side the internal mouth of Vesuvius with fumaroles and on the other side the vast view of the Gulf of Naples.
