Food Tour

Walking in the heart of the historic center, you will be transported by the colors, scents and flavors of those dishes that have now become part of the daily life of every Neapolitan. It can be said that street food was born right in the city of Naples; from the famous “cuoppo” of fried foods, to the hot and tasty pizza “a portafoglio”, to the fragrant “sfogliatella riccia” or the succulent rum babà, indulge in these tasty delicacies while learning about their history and origins.

The tour begins from Piazza del Gesù, where you will discover the history of the square, the particular facade of the church of the same name and visit its interior. Along Spaccanapoli, the first stop will be dedicated to the “cuoppo”, a cornucopia of paper filled with small pieces of mixed fried land. Continuing the journey, we will stop in Piazza San Domenico and then, shortly after, taste the pizza “a portafoglio” or the fried pizza, two unmistakable symbols of the Neapolitan gastronomic tradition.

The route will then take us to San Gregorio Armeno, the street of nativity scenes, where we will have the opportunity to admire the nativity art and the artisan workshops that create unique and personalized figurines. Finally, we will conclude the tour with a dessert: babà or sfogliatella? A difficult choice that represents the perfect epilogue to this culinary experience!
